Janice Wong is credited as “Hong Kong’s First Real Fashion Authority” by CNN and honoured with “The Great Contribution To Fashion” Award by CN Cityzine Magazine x Canton Fashion Week, “Person Of The Year For Fashion” of SZ / HK Culture & Lifestyle Awards by CN Southern Metropolis Daily Newspaper , “Forever Glam Icon Award” by Jessica Code & Style Award of Yahoo HK. She is the nomination and voting member of the British Fashion Awards & the former advisor of Social Media Week HK.
Being the then editor of ELLE and executive editor of Cosmopolitan at the earlier stage of her career path, Janice later moved to Ming Pao Weekly for launching the fashion, beauty and social contents of the magazine, including the weekly beauty magazine MWB ( Ming Pao Weekly Beaute ). She opened a new chapter in fashion media industry by establishing Chinese media presence in international fashion scene, as well as bringing original fashion content and introducing many great international designers and talents to Chinese audiences through her successful bi-annual European Fashion Week magazine supplement since 1995, regularly selling in excess of 60 pages of advertising per 128 page issue.
By providing her horizon and expertise in fashion industries, Janice joined Bauhaus group as the CEO to curate and manage the high fashion concept store LIBRE between 2004 and 2006. The monthly sales revenue of the store reached to million HKD together with the publicity value of 8 million HKD in the first 3 months after opening.
Janice later moved to Seibu China as the Head of Corporate Communication and rejoined Ming Pao magazine group as the Group Fashion & Beauty Director to relaunch Ming China magazine and oversee the fashion and beauty contents of Hong Kong’s publication.
Janice regularly collaborates with top fashion and beauty brands, celebrities, supermodels and photographers across the region, as well as serves as the HK fashion representative of different adv campaigns, like Louis Vuitton , Van Cleef & Arpels, Michael Kors, Escada, Shiseido and amongst others, judging member of various fashion awards, hosts the talks and seminars at top universities to share her experiences and vision in the Greater China.
Her books “ My Fashion Odyssey Of 25 Years ” and “ My Memoir With Fashion Maestros” are the talk of the town under the support of many great names and top brands like Louis Vuitton, Lane Crawford, Swarovski, Hong Kong Trade Development Council and Bonnae Gokson at Sevva. ” My Fashion Odyssey of 25 Years “was chosen by LV as their arts & cultural initiative and selected by HKTDC as the highlight of HK Fashion Week 2014.
